He Sings “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” on Stage, His Heartwarming Rendition Will Warm Your Heart

Glen Campbell had many titles to his name. He was an acclaimed singer, guitarist, songwriter, television host, and actor. Best known for a series of hits in the 1960s and 1970s, and for hosting a music and comedy variety show called The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, he released more than 70 studio albums during his 50 years in the music business. Campbell sold 45 million records worldwide and made history in 1967 by winning four Grammys in the country and pop categories.

Sadly, he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2010. He released his last song, “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” in 2013. It is a poignant song that shares his experience about leaving his family and the shattering reality he had to face due to the deadly disease. Sadly, Glen never had the chance to play it for a live audience because Alzheimer’s took a heavy toll on him. That’s when his loving son decided to step up and help him out.

Glen passed away in August 8th, 2017, after fighting the disease for years. Since his passing, this tribute by his son has become even more emotional and special than before.
