The song is about his relationship with his father, but it’s also a tale of Mitch’s journey of redemption. He has his own son now and it’s his own son that allows him to understand his life journey.
The performance is truly amazing. It has the entire audience in tears and they explode into applause when he’s finished. The judges are also moved to tears and give him a standing ovation. Simon Cowell, one of the judges, tells Mitch that he has a real talent and that he’s going to go far.
