It sounds like the start of a joke: “A cat walks into a workout gym…” and I never would have believed it if I hadn’t watched this video. You’ve literally got to see it to believe it!
We’ve all seen animals that participate with their owners in physical activity–dogs running alongside their humans, for example–and we’ve even seen owners that bring their animals along in strollers, as if they were human children. But I’ll bet you’ve never seen something like this before.
In the beginning, the cat walks in and brushes up against the machine, pretty much like you’d expect. But then it does something completely unexpected.
It rolls over on its back and puts its legs up to the bar, as if it was going to exercise. Next comes something that shocked me–it starts doing sit ups! It literally starts doing situps, just like anyone else would in a gym.
I’m guessing the cat watched its owner do situps and is just mimicking the behavior, but it is absolutely one of the funniest things you’ll ever see. You’ve got to see it to believe it.
