Lindsey Stirling is quite popular on the internet. You might have seen some of her videos before as well. But if you don’t know about her, this amazing clip is going to be an incredible introduction. Lindsey is a violinist, dancer, performance artist, and composer. The young woman presents choreographed violin performances, both live and in music videos, which you can find on her YouTube channel. She performs a variety of music styles. Featured below is her rendition of the timeless Leonard Cohen song, Hallelujah.

Hallelujah is one of the most famous and beloved songs in the world. It was first written and recorded by Canadian artist, Leonard Cohen, in the year 1984. The song didn’t get much popularity initially, but it all changed when John Cale and Jeff Buckley made their covers. Over the years, many artists have sung their own version of the hit. Lindsey’s cover is no doubt one of the best out there. In the clip, we get to see her performing the song at the New York City subway.

This beautiful cover was released in Christmas 2015. According to Stirling, it was kind of like a gift for her fans. She says, “I’ve realized that a lot of times that I fail to see the beauty that is in the moments and the people that surround me every single day. Making this video was a really humbling experience and it honestly reminded me of a time when I honestly felt like no one saw the beauty in me.”
