Josh Groban Picks Shy Fan for Duet, but When She Sings…

Singers often call fans on stage to sing along with them, but most of the time the fans don’t have a beautiful voice like you’ll hear in this video.

As a child, Josh Groban sang in his school choir and took piano lessons. But it wasn’t until he was 17 that his talent for singing was “discovered.” Groban rose to fame when he sang with Andrea Bocelli, the world-famous tenor in 1998. Since then, he has sold over 25 million records worldwide and has been nominated for several Grammy Awards.

He also performs live concerts and like many famous artists, occasionally calls fans from the audience on the stage to sing a duet. At this Montreal concert, however, he chose a fan who didn’t speak English fluently and was not so confident.

When he introduces her to the crowd, it’s clear she’s tentative because she can’t answer his questions. But, as soon as she starts singing, she mesmerizes everyone, including Josh. She has a clear, pure voice that sounds perfect for the song she chose.  Watch the video below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!
