Carson ‘Adam and Eve’ Sketch with Betty White is As Good As Comedy Gets

The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson was the biggest show in town when it was on and he was known for having superstars and brand-new talent. Many stars got their start on Carson and many others used it to make sure they stayed in the public eye.

Betty White was one of those who was already a star–in her case for decades–when she appeared on Carson. They had known each other for years, essentially grown up in the TV business together, and were the best of friends on and off stage.

In this iconic skit, Johnny and Betty play Adam and Eve, discussing the possibility of a split and the division of assets it might entail. In addition to the hilarious attire, the conversation between the two is electric with both comedy and unspoken attraction.

It originally aired on February 8, 1979, but is every bit as good today as it was when it was first on. This video will make you smile. Watch the video below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!
