Saying that soldiers have it tough would be an understatement. They have to always show up whenever called upon to protect and serve their country. They can be deployed to hostile lands for months or years at a time, which can strain them both physically and mentally. Staying away from family and friends and being in constant danger can take an emotional toll on them as well. Having to be away from one’s best friend is not a good feeling at all. The German Shepherd knows how true this is.
The pooch in this video is Trigger. This happy German Shepherd is playful and happy most of the time, but he was really missing his best friend. His dad was in the military, and has to be away from home for long periods of time. Trigger really misses him whenever he’s not at home. When his video was taken, his dad was sent to a bootcamp training. Someone from the family thought of making Trigger speak on the phone with his dad, and the result is too cute for words.
As soon as he heard his voice, Trigger couldn’t contain his excitement. The overjoyed dog kept whining and shouting in joy. He couldn’t keep it together, and kept going around the room because of how shaky he was with excitement! You can only imagine how much this pooch is missing his best friend. Since he is so excited about hearing his voice over the phone, you can just imagine his excitement when he actually meets him in person!
