Australian Grandma Falls in Love with a Wombat – Adorable!

This heartwarming story shows the human/animal bond can develop between all types of creatures in all parts of the world.  It’s popularity–over 500,000 views in just a few months–shows how adorable it is.

Linda and her husband run Two Songs Sanctuary near Port Lincoln, South Australia. Their current inventory is 27 kangaroos and 8 wombats. In this clip, Linda showcases Pumpkin, who is obviously one of her favorite wombats. Pumpkin’s mother was killed and, after being raised somewhere else for a couple of years, Pumpkin was brought to Linda.

Linda says Pumpkin is a great pet: “We just love her and she loves us back–when she’s not biting us!” And, because of government regulations, Linda’s commitment to Pumpkin lasts a lifetime–up to 35 years for wombats in captivity.
