Darius Sansaukas was out enjoying the sun one spring morning when he saw a doe deliver two whitetail baby fawns in his backyard. One of the fawns had an injured leg and she struggled to keep up with her family as they walked away. The poor thing was abandoned right there on Darius’ property. The man knew that she would not be able to survive if she was left on her own. So the kind guy jumped into action and decided to nurse her back to health.
He says, “I do not support keeping wild animals as pets, but this was special situation”. Darius took the fawn in and tried to treat her the best he could. He even made her a make shift leg brace made out of a cereal box. When the baby deer recovered, Darius took her back to the wild in order to release her. But even when he set her free, she started following him. Her mother was nowhere to be seen. However, after several failed attempts, he finally succeeded in reuniting the two.
The fawn went back to her mother and is now where she belongs. The remarkable bond Darius managed to form baby with the baby has won the hearts many people all over the world.
