Being cheated on is one of the most terrible and harmful experiences a person can have. It can cause emotional anguish, worry, sadness, a rise in risky behavior, and even physical pain. In a nutshell, it hurts deeply and can have far-reaching consequences.
Something similar happened to Hailey Custer, a 28-year-old Wickenburg mother of four, who was left heartbroken after learning that her husband, Travis Bowling, 36, had cheated on her with her best friend. Read to the end to know the full detail.
The mother of four revealed that she had no suspicions that her husband was having an affair, especially with her best friend. Until she saw a rare genetic birthmark on the baby’s neck after it was brought home from the hospital, and it was identical to the cheating man–her own husband–as well as a number of his children. Sadly, Hailey is not alone: according to a study published in the Journal of Marriage and Family in 2018, the lifetime prevalence of infidelity among married men in the U.S. is approximately 20%.
