‘Hallelujah’ Begins Playing and Skater Brings Entire Room to Tears

Ice skating is pretty tough to master. Most of us can’t even imagine spinning and spiraling on ice, but some people are naturals.

Just take a look at Taryn Jurgensen for example. Taryn has been skating since she was just a little girl, and because of her hard work and incredible talent, she has achieved fruitful results. In this video, we get to see one of her performances. Everyone was left in awe when this young woman entered the rink and shared her skills!

The sport of ice skating was developed in the mid-19th century. At the beginning, the most famous style of skating was stiff and kind of boring, but then the “father of modern figure skating,” Jackson Haines, changed everything with his fluid and revolutionary style during the 1860s. The International Skating Union was created in the early 1890s and from there on out, the history of skating has continued to progress rapidly.

It has attracted the attention of many, and Taryn was one of them. Despite being nervous, Taryn skated onto the ice at the Los Angeles Showcase in Burbank, California, and waited for the song to start playing.

Her routine to Alexandra Burke’s version of “Hallelujah” was  choreographed by Karen Kwan-Oppegard and ultimately won the show! Check out this amazing performance below and please leave us a Facebook comment to let us know what you thought!
