Elvis Presley is known as the King of Rock n’ Roll. He is one of the most iconic and influential personalities in pop culture. He won millions of hearts all over the world, and still remains to be one of the best musicians ever. His charming looks, stunning voice combined with his irresistible charm made for a killer combination. Sadly, he passed away at an untimely age, but he still lives on through his music.
The following video shows one of his performances from the year 1973. His live acts were extremely popular back in the day. Not only did he wow everyone with his voice, but he made a huge impact visually with his star-studded white suits. For the following performance, he chose to perform something other than his tracks. The song is called “My Way” and it will surely bowl you over.
“My Way” was popularized by crooner Frank Sinatra. Paul Anka had first written the song, but Sinatra’s version is most remembered. Sinatra’s rendition spent 75 weeks in the US Top 40, which is impressive indeed. Presley’s version was a huge success as well, despite Paul Anka telling him that the song would not suit him. The song went on to get gold certification from the RIAA and charted in many other countries as well.
