25+ Biggest Unanswered Questions In Spider Man: Far From Home

Far From Home has continued to dominate the box office since it hit cinemas in July. Sorry if you haven’t; we’ve seen it over and over.

Be warned though, there are major spoilers ahead.

Spider-Man: Far From Home proved to be the captivating, intriguing and interesting Marvel movie we’ve all come to adore.

But the movie left our head spinning with a handful of unanswered questions.

With Phase 3 coming to a close, these questions will play on our minds until we see what the Marvel Cinematic Universe has in store for us in Phase 4.

Let’s jump right into it!

Here’s a quick look at 27 questions left unanswered by Spider-Man: Far From Home.

With Phase 3 coming to a close, these questions will play on our minds until we see what the Marvel Cinematic Universe has in store for us in Phase 4.

1. What happened to the other Avengers?

Avengers That Remained

At one point in the movie, Fury or should we say Talos tries to recruit Peter Parker for the course. Spider-Man instead recommends other Avengers who would be better suited to help out.

Fury/Talos, however, tells him most Avengers like Ant Man, Doctor Strange and Thor are currently unavailable. What does unavailable mean?

We know of Iron Man’s death in Avengers: Endgame. Still, we saw all the other Avengers resurface after the Blip. How are they suddenly unavailable?

What exactly is Fury/Talos implying about the Avengers? Did something else happen to them?

Maybe it’s Talos simply trying to talk Spidey into doing his bidding.

2. Is there a Multiverse?

Multiverse Spider man

For those who’ve seen Spider-Man: Far From Home, what was going through your mind when Quentin Beck told Peter Parker and Nick Fury about the multiverse? Tell you what, our buddies here were left tongue-wagging.

First, we were starting to believe by Mysterio that there’s an alternate universe where everything human can thrive. Mysterio called it Earth-833, a multiverse of some sort.

But really, is there a Multiverse? Maybe Marvel is giving the idea some thought. We can’t say for sure.

We won’t mind getting some more details about the alternate universe.

3. Who bought the Avengers Tower?

Anyone who saw Spider-Man: Homecoming should’ve noticed that Stark Industries vacated the Avengers Towers after selling it.

In a scene in Far From Home, the building was shown to be under construction. It was actually Mysterio who brought our attention to the former Stark Tower when he evoked it in an illusion that saw Spider-Man trapped in a snow globe in the NYC Skyline.

There are rumors pointing to Oscorp or the Fantastic Four as the potential new owners of Avengers Tower, but Marvel is keeping the truth a secret.

If you were paying attention, towards the end of Far From Home when Spidey met MJ at the street corner in East 41st, a sign on the street pointing towards the Tower read: “We Can’t Wait To Show You What’s Next.”

We’re still left with the unanswered question though. Who owns the building now?

4. Why would Tony create another ULTRON?

When Tony Stark created the ULTRON, there was some sort of inimical addictiveness that came with the invention. Avengers: Age of Ultron made this clear.

Tony’s idea with Ultron didn’t play out so well in the end. Which of begs the question of why he’d come up with a similar idea like E.D.I.T.H. and then hand it over to a kid in high school? Knowing how destructive it could be if it were to enter the wrong hands.

Did Tony create E.D.I.T.H. as a gift to an older, more matured Spider-Man? Why wasn’t it used to fight Thanos in Endgame? The idea behind the technology remains baffling to us.

5. When did Tony bequeath E.D.I.T.H. to Spidey?

The E.D.I.T.H. may well be classified as the most highly advanced pair of technological shades on earth. The device even has control over an A.I satellite and of course those killer drones.

What we know is, Tony Stark created it long before he lost his life in Avengers: Endgame.

So, when did Tony come up with the idea?

No one but the MCU knows when Tony decided to gift the E.D.I.T.H. to Peter. Retrospectively, Spider-Man, didn’t survive the Blip and was presumed dead for five years.

Did Tony have long term plans for Peter we didn’t know about?

6. Will Spidey start his own group of avengers?

spiderman his own avengers

In Far From Home, we saw a Spider-Man who started out trying too hard to keep a low profile and as much as possible avoid the Avengers.

But things didn’t turn out how the young hero wanted; he had to face Mysterio. And of course, fill Iron Man’s big shoes.

Does his daring act in Far From Home mean Spidey gets a free pass to rejoin the Avengers? Who’ll be his new favorite Avenger if he does?

Something else could happen though; Spidey could start his own pack of young Avengers. Perhaps a partnership with Ant Man’s daughter Cassie Lang.

What do you think about Spidey leading some young avengers?

7. How long has Talos impersonated Nick Fury?

Talos impersonated Nick Fury

In Spider-Man: Far From Home viewers were surprised to discover Talos (Ben Mendelsohn) who’s the chief Skrull and master shape-shifter has all along been impersonating the character of Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).

Heck, Maria Hill was also being impersonated by Talos’s wife (Sharon Blynn).

This big revelation was made in Far From Home’s second-end credits
.
We know that Talos and Nick Fury teamed up to help the Skrulls defeat the Kree in Captain Marvel, which was set in 1995.

What no one can answer is how Talos manages to impersonate Fury in Spider-Man: Far From Home which is set in the year 2024.

When exactly did this impersonation plot start? How long has Talos been playing Fury on earth?

We need some answers, Marvel!

8. Are Nick Fury and Talos working together?

Are-Nick-Fury-and-Talos-working-together
Since Talos has been posing as Fury on earth for a period between the last eight months and 29 years (we can’t say for sure).

It wouldn’t hurt to know if Talos and Fury are working together. Really.

Let’s break down a few things we know about the pair.

We know Fury didn’t survive the Blip (Thanos snap). We later witnessed his appearance towards the concluding parts of Avengers: Endgame. Yea, in Tony Stark’s funeral.

Okay, that was eight months ago.

We also heard Talos say the real Fury was on a mission in outer space. And then wished him luck. This turned out to be true. Albeit, we still don’t know if there’s a plot between both characters.

Are they working together on one big mission?

Hopefully, the mysticism surrounding Fury and Talos is unraveled in Phase 4.

9. What was Nick Fury doing on a spaceship?

Yes, the real Nick Fury was seen aboard a spaceship, just as Talos said. But we noticed the spaceship was packed with Skrulls.

What exactly could Fury be doing on a Spaceship full of Skrulls? No one can tell for sure what the mission is.

Like we’ve been contemplating; perhaps Fury has joined forces with the Skrulls to build something that may somehow benefit the earth.

All we saw was a fleeting glimpse of Fury on the ship. It does nothing but raise our anticipation for MCU Phase 4.

10. Where is the real Maria Hill?

Maria Hill Soren

Spider-Man: Far From Home allowed us to discover the real Nick Fury, his location and the man impersonating him.

Where could Maria be?

Some commentators are saying Maria might be with the real Fury aboard that spaceship in outer space –they’re saying she’s just off-screen. Others are arguing she’s on vacation.

What do you think?

Is Maria Hill is on vacation or with the real Fury?

11. Was Fury/Talos’ team on earth all Skrulls?

guys were real humans or just Skrulls

Mysterio, Fury and Maria Hill worked with a tactical team of operatives. The pack included Toni Garn (the Seamstress who gave Spidey a handmade Monkey suit). And Numan Acar (Dimitri).

People, we’re still wondering if these guys were real humans or Skrulls.

What we still don’t get is where all the drones went after being shut down by Peter. Remember, those drones came from space, and simply can’t have the power to fly back there.

Did the drones land somewhere in the middle of the ocean? Did they wound up in someone’s backyard? Far From Home didn’t let us know.

12. Are the Kree back on Earth?

Perhaps Fury is working in outer-space to protect the earth from aliens like the Kree. But the hint we got in Spider-Man: Far From Home is that the Kree may already be back on earth. Are they?

Fury/Talos mentioned to his wife Hill (Soren) about the Kree sleeper cells that remain somewhere on earth. The Kree call these carefully stashed cells ‘C-53’.

Do these cells mean a new breed of Kree soldiers on our planet? Does the MCU have anything else up their sleeves with the Kree?

We still can’t tell because there weren’t any further details revealed to us regarding those sleeper cells.

13. How did Spidey and Aunt May get a new apartment?

Spider-Man and May Parker
Screenshot: Spiderman Trailer

We watched Aunt May tell a touching story of how they returned from the Blip to find people living in their home – this meant they had to find a new home.

Also, viewers won’t be able to tell how the new apartment came about. How was the stranded May Parker able to afford such a decent place?

Was the new apartment courtesy the charity organization Aunt May now works for? Was it thanks to Spider-Man and his relationship with Stark Industries?

Your head must be spinning at these questions. Lol! Stay cool, we’re only getting started.

14. Where did all those drones go?

In Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spidey does incredibly well to shut down the drones unleashed by Mysterio – only managing the feat after regaining control of E.D.I.T.H.

That drone strike though…

It was so terrible that it fatally wounded the man who launched it –Mysterio; at least from what we saw.

What we still don’t get is where all the drones went after being shut down by Peter. Remember, those drones came from space, and simply can’t have the power to fly back there.

Did the drones land somewhere in the middle of the ocean? Did they wound up in someone’s backyard? Far From Home didn’t let us know.

15. Is (Mysterio) Beck still alive?

Is (Mysterio) Beck still alive?

After spiking our blood pressures with talk of a Multiverse, it seems Beck may not be alive to see it; even if Marvel has that idea up its sleeve.

But one never can rule out someone like Mysterio in the MCU.

After the drone strike hit Mysterio and the E.D.I.T.H. declared there wasn’t any simulations or illusions running, Beck looked really dead.

We still can’t say for sure if Beck died after that attack. The man was a formidable villain with excellent illusion skills. He might’ve thought out a way to survive.

Remember he framed his own death in a video?

16. What next for Mysterio’s co-conspirators?

Mysterio’s co-conspirators

Spider-Man: Far From Home showed us just how disgruntled some Stark employees can get. Some of them even became co-conspirators with Mysterio

However, after the defeat of Mysterio, nothing really was said or shown of those Stark employees. None of them got apprehended by Spider-Man.

Having saved London, Nick Fury didn’t bother encouraging Spidey to go after the conspirators. Despite their villainy.

What does this mean? Will Mysterio’s co-conspirators form a deadly pack that haunts Spidey in Spider-Man 3?

17. What happens to the Daily Bugle in the future?

SpiderMan Daily Bugle what happens

Here’s another thing we learned in Far From Home: the Daily Bugle is a conspiracy-driven video-based website. Not the classic Newspaper you thought they were.

They’ve released a handful of videos and we can take some of them for background content in Easter Eggs.

Due to of their intimacy with Spider-Man, will the Bugle hire someone like Aunt May or MJ in the future?

Will Spidey go to war against the Daily Bugle? It’ll be interesting to see Spider-Man and the news become enemies, won’t it?

18. Who’ll believe the doctored video by Mysterio?

Who’ll believe the doctored video by Mysterio

Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons) who assumed the character of the Daily Bugle editor spoiled things for Spidey when he released a doctored video showing where Spider-Man killed Mysterio. It was, however, sent to him by Mysterio.

The video clip also makes a big reveal – Spidey’s true identity as Peter Parker.

Will people connect the dots and believe Peter is Spider-Man?

If we’re being honest, everyone will buy into the video. Peter has his work cut-out in MCU’s Phase 4.

19. Will Spiderman become a fugitive?

With Spider-Man’s true identity now revealed, what happens when people in the MCU see a giant red spider swinging off skyscrapers and fighting villains?

What happens when all the criminals put in jail by Spider-Man get to find out who he really is? Bad guys like Scorpion.

Will Spider-Man become a fugitive in Phase 4?

20. Why send Spiderman to Europe?

We agree a trip to Europe for Spidey gave us some nice visuals. But we wonder the sense in the trip just eight months after the devastating Blip occurred.

Logically, people were still struggling to find a home. The instability was palpable. International travel would probably still be banned. And the school year was only just getting started.

We get how interesting the scenes from around Europe brought life to the movie. Ideally, though, why should Spider-Man and the other high-school kids be heading out on this trip? It doesn’t make sense.

21. Will we see a full wedding in the MCU?

Love In Spiderman

Spider-Man: Far From Home can be described as a movie that depicted some steaming romance.

Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau), has seemingly fallen head over heels for Aunt May, Peter’s Aunt. Even going as far as telling the likes of Betty, Flash and MJ about his feelings.

May isn’t really reciprocating Happy’s feeling yet, but there’s no denying she has a soft spot for Tony Stark’s old pal.

We still can’t help thinking Happy helped her get a new apartment.

Meanwhile, there’s Peter and MJ. With Spider-Man’s identity revealed, it seems there’s no slowing down these love birds anymore.

The question we fans are asking is, are we going to see a full wedding in the MCU?

Which couple could it be if it does happen? Would you rather see Happy and Aunt May?

Without debate, the more popular wedding would be that of MJ and Spidey. If it ever does happen.

22. What could be the title of the next Spider-Man movie?

Guys, have you noticed the use of ‘Home’ in Spider-Man movies lately?

Following the release of Homecoming and Far From Home, fans have been left wondering what the next Spidey movie would be called.

Perhaps if Spidey becomes a fugitive because of Mysterio’s doctored video the name could be ‘Banned From Home’, ‘Run From Home’ or ‘Home Run’.

Some fans think he could be arrested in the next movie – hence the idea ‘Home Arrest’.

Count on Tom Holland to spoil it and reveal the name before you think too hard.

23. Will we get a new character for Spider-Man?

Spiderman New Face

Finally, since Peter Parker’s secret identity has now been revealed, will someone else step in to play the new Spider-Man, while Peter cools of the heat somewhere?

Fans should not be surprised if this does happen. It’s the MCU after all.

If the eventuality of that scenario playing out, who’s best fit to assume the role of Spider-Man?

Popular Marvel comic character, Miles Morales has been mentioned. Although his character hasn’t been brought to life before. Perhaps this is the best time to do so.

24. Why didn’t Fury or Talos keep E.D.I.T.H. for themselves?

It’s hard to understand how the E.D.I.T.H. got handed to Peter without any fuss. Especially when you consider the caliber of men who gifted him the highly-valued piece from Tony Stark.

Guys let’s think about this for a minute…

First, it was the real Nick Fury who discovered that Tony had created E.D.I.T.H. and bequeathed it to Peter.

Fury who’s in space and in need of help didn’t reconsider handing E.D.I.T.H. to Peter. Actually, Fury didn’t deliver the technology to Peter himself – he had to get Talos (as Fury) to be the delivery guy.

It’s surprising neither Fury nor Talos tried to hold on to E.D.I.T.H. a while longer than necessary. Didn’t they know the capabilities of gaining a back door to all of Stark Industries protocols?

Even Mysterio expressed his surprise at such honesty.

25. What does Captain America’s appearance actually mean?

Guys did you see pictures of Captain America in Far From Home? His appearance left us a little baffled. What does his appearance actually connote?

Is this a hint that Captain America (aging) in Avengers: Endgame actually didn’t die in the epic? Or is just being presumed dead?

One character who could’ve confirmed this for us is Nick Fury-Talos. But he simply didn’t seem to care. Or know anything for that matter.

26. What about the deleted scenes?

deleted scene in far from home

Raise your hand if you saw Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer before watching the actual movie.

If you did, you can attest to the fact some scenes were cut from the actual movie.

People are wondering if we’ll get to see some of these deleted scenes.

Some of them include:

  • The early battle in the trailer showing Spider-Man fighting alongside some New York cops while in his Iron spider-suit.
  • How about the scene where Peter dared to go sell his toys…

27. Is Flash being set up for a bigger role?

Flash Thompsons

Flash Thompson is seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home as the hilarious guy who’s addicted to everything Spider-Man. The irony is, he can’t care less for anything Peter Parker.

Guys do you get the feeling Flash is growing as a Marvel character?

It all gets interesting from the incident where his parents fail to pick him up from the airport.

Are we watching Flash evolve? From what we can see, the once carefree Flash is now being forced to think, make decisions and show his devious side.

Is Marvel planning a bigger role for Flash?

What major role could Flash possibly play?
