Show Me The Way
Seeking the guidance of an intuitive adviser is a growing trend in the touchy-feely self-help arena. A cross between a life
coach and a psychic, intuitive advisors are being hired by the powerful and famous (and those hoping to one day be powerful
and famous) to help steer heavy-hitting careers and ambitions. They don’t just tell clients the future, but rather use their
“intuitive inclinations” to create personalized life/career plans that will help them reach their goals. Advisors meet with
clients on an ongoing basis and check in periodically via IM and email. Home visits are also popular wherein the advisor will
give decorating advice, geared to improve productivity, creativity and positive energy.
Some of the more sought after intuitive advisers now have side careers in the same industry as many of their clients: Hollywood.
Suzannah Galland, who likes to teach her clients how to “switch on” their own
intuitive senses, has dabbled in television production and has appeared as a guest on America’s Next Top Model.
Justine Kenzer has parlayed her “psychic girl” image into a small franchise selling Hollywood startlet must-have “Possession Protector” charms, while contributing to entertainment magazines and network shows.
We think we’ll stick to our own intuitions, but hey, we’re just here to report on trends, not make them.
