Comedian to watch
Plus: Cocaine beverage

A few months ago, we saw comedian Morgan Murphy perform as part of the New Faces roster at Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival and again more recently in NYC when she spread her infectious deadpan humor alongside the boys (Eugene Mirman, David Cross, Jon Glaser, Jon Benjamin, Brian Posehn and Nick Swardson) as part of Patton Oswalt’s Comedians of Comedy tour. During this past year, Morgan joined Neil Hamburger for a U.S. tour, performed at Bumbershoot in Seattle and was named one of Variety’s “10 Comics To Watch”. And performing chops aside, this 24-year-old Portland, Oregon native already has impressive work experience under her belt having written for Comedy Central’s Crank Yankers and Jimmy Kimmel Live after graduating from college.

Morgan’s momentum continues as she joins her comrades at the Vancouver Comedy Festival and continues to perform stand-up. Morgan is undoubtedly a comic force to be reckoned with and we are excited to see what she does next.

And by the way:
The latest controversial, ultra-caffeinated sensation drink on the market, Cocaine (yes, it’s really called that) is being marketed as a “legal alternative” to the drug for which is it named and is said to give a “high” within five minutes. Makes Red Bull look not so bad, eh?
